2018 - PerSense Cloudlet: Personal platform for communication and interaction allows  trusted circles to communicate as well as to interact, by adding to the communication learning of roaming habits and social interaction activities performed over time, and facilitating the exchange of mementos. Applied to three vertical markets: school and families (B2C); commerce (B2B); enterprises (B2B). Framework developed by Senception LDA based on the outcomes of the UMOBILE European project.

2017 - Now@: Android service that allows users to exchange data based on user interests, without relying on the existing Internet access or wireless infrastructures, based on the NDN-OPP software package. Developed in the UMOBILE project. Available for testing by the international scientific community via the UMOBILE Lab.

2017 - Oi!: Android application that allows users to send short messages without relying on the existing Internet access or wireless infrastructures, based on the NDN-OPP software package. Developed in the UMOBILE project. Available for testing by the international scientific community via the UMOBILE Lab.

2012 - RelaySpot: A Cooperative MAC Protocol for Dynamic Wireless Networks for Linux. OMNET++ module. (Authors: Tauseef Jamal, Paulo Mendes). Developed in the ULOOP project.

2010 - TECD: This routing package provides the TECD algorithm for the Opportunistic Network Environment (ONE). It is implemented to work with the Time-Evolving Contact Duration (TECD) utility function used to derive the weight of edges in a social graph from the statistical contact duration that nodes present over time. Developed in the DTNAmazon project.

2008 - Q3M: Prototype for Multi-service Resource Allocation (MIRA), Multi-user Session Control (MUSC), Cache-based Seamless Mobility (CASM), to support multimedia multi-user sessions for mobile users. Developed in the SAPRA and Q3M projects.

2003 - INTEREST: Creation and management of the INTEREST laboratory at Columbia University, equipped with five Cisco routers (Cisco 7000 and Cisco 2500), Fore and Univ. of Washington ATM switches, WaveLAN base-stations, FDDI rings and lots of slightly dated PCs and SUN Workstations. This laboratory operated as a common resource for setting up test networks and experiments used in courses provided at Columbia University.

1993 - Relay CSMA/CD-PSDN: Prototype of a relay to interconnect the CSMA/CD and PSDN networks. This work was developed during my undergraduate course and within the project PMCT/C/TIT/454/90 financed by JNICT and EWOS/ED015.
